SUBMITTING FOR BALLET BUILDERS

Ballet Choreographers: We are not currently accepting submissions for Ballet Builders.
Ballet Builders 2010
will take place on April 9th, 10th and 11th
at the
Ailey Citigroup Theater

Here is what you need to know:
- Participation is based on the evaluations of a panel of ballet professionals.
- You can submit only one ballet 7 to 15 minutes in length. Do not submit more than one ballet.
- The ballet must have been created within the past three years.
- The work auditioned does not need to be en pointé but it must be based in the ballet vocabulary.
- The work auditioned does not need to be a finished work although, you must audition at least 7 minutes of the work.
- The work presented in the Showcase must be the work auditioned.
- If selected, the work may not be presented in the New York metropolitan area for three months prior to and one month following the showcase.
- No piece may be auditioned twice.
If you want to apply, we request the following:
- A videotape or a DVD of your ballet.
- Cue videotape to the beginning of the ballet you are auditioning. If you are submitting a DVD with more than one ballet on it, make sure the one you are auditioning is clearly indicated.
- A filled out Facts Sheet.
- Your resume
- If you wish your video or DVD returned, please include a self-addressed stamped (not metered) envelope. Do not put tape over the stamps.
Your application must be postmarked no later than Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
