Previews: our end-of-summer showing of works in progress. This yearly event brings together choreographers, their work and an enthusiastic audience for an early evening of dance and dialogue.
Previews is an opportunity for choreographers to get that ever-important feedback on what they are working on and a chance for the audience to get to know a choreographer and his or her work. It is an enjoyable experience. Mid-summer we e-mail choreographers working in the New York City metropolitan area inviting them to submit a work they are currently choreographing (submission information). What is shown are works-in-progress that must be at least five minutes in length. The audience then has something to observe and the choreographer receives better feedback. The event is General Admission and only fifteen dollars. Tickets go on sale at the door a half hour before the showing which usually starts around six. The show lasts for about an hour and fifteen minutes. This is a popular event so it is a good idea to come early. If you wish to be notified about upcoming events please send us an e-mail. Be sure to include your name and address. If you are a choreographer working in the ballet idiom let us know.
