Ballet Choreographers: Starting May 1st through July 15th, 2009 New Choreographers On Point is inviting choreographers in the New York City metropolitan area to submit a work-in-progress. A work you are currently choreographing. The works chosen will be presented on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Joan Weill Center for Dance, 405 W. 55th Street (at 9th Avenue), New York, NY 10019.

• Submit one work that you are currently working on. It must be 5 to 12 minutes in length.
• The work does not need to be en pointé but it must be based in the ballet vocabulary.
• The work submitted does not need to be a finished work nor does it need to be finished for the showing.
• The work presented in the Showing must be the work submitted.
• You, the choreographer, must be present at the event.

• A videotape or a DVD of your work-in-progress. Only the work you wish to submit should be on it.
• If you submit a videotape, cue the videotape to the beginning of the ballet.
• Your resume
• If you wish your video or DVD returned, please include a self-addressed stamped (not metered) envelope.
  Do not put tape over the stamps.
